Everything started when in October 2013, Patrick Kearney, former band member of Capua and Nothing After August, got together with Reed Scanlon, former band member of Destined To Be Broken, in order to form a brand new band in the Central Pennsylvania area. In the beginning of November, Joe Kearney, Patrick's brother and former band member of The Stanley Story, joined the band. In July of 2014, My Crucible was shut down as a functioning band due to various reasons. A month later, Joe Kearney formed a new group of members in order to keep My Crucible alive. So on the 5th of August that same year, former vocalist of Sincerely Yours, Zac Smith, Joe Kearney, who now took on his new role in the band as guitarist and vocalist, and Mason Parker, bassist, got together and had the first practice as a reincarnated band.
